In 1990 Barry returned to South Bank and in 1994 started to build a new
modern yard comprising of 3 barns and a large indoor ride. Since that
time the state of the art facilities have continued to expand, showing
visual benefit in the performance of the horses and resulting in 2001
being his best ever season in prize money achieved.
Barry Hills believes this is the most up to date racehorse training establishment
in Great Britain.
He is proud of the fact that a significant proportion of his current owners
have had long-term associations with him ranging from 5 to 28 years.
Since 1969, Barry has trained over 2,400 winners at home and abroad.
Choosing a Trainer
Probably the most important decision you will have to make is 'Choosing
a Trainer' as your choice here will have a major influence on your success.
You will need to determine who represents the best bet in terms of track
record and value for money.
The personal rapport that you have with a Trainer is also important as
this can determine the enjoyment that you get from owning a racehorse.
