News w/b 1st February

It was another quiet week in the yard with no runners. The horses are ticking over and seem very well. Below is a photograph of some of the two year olds cantering.

Charlie went to the National Stud to see Phil Cunningham's horses, including his dual Guineas winner Cockney Rebel. We have a two year old full brother to Cockney Rebel in the yard called Encore Un Fois (after that famous Sash song!), so lets hope he's as talented as his older brother. Phil's three year old filly Bebopalula, who ran so well on her only start as a two year old, is building up to a run in the middle of February. She is going well, but is in need of experience hence the run on the all weather.

This week we will have two runners. On Monday Blue's Music has his first start at Wolverhampton. He didn't really do very much last year, but has been doing plenty of work over the past few weeks. Inexperience is probably what will catch him out today. House Red will be sporting blinkers on Tuesday in a bid to get him to run in a slightly straighter line than he did last time out. He has the ability, so lets hope he advertises it before he goes to the Tattersalls February Sale on Thursday.
